Bone Broth Marinara

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp Kasandrinos Olive Oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • I cup onions, finely diced
  • 1 (28 oz) can organic crushed tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp organic tomato paste
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed red peppers (optional)
  • ⅛ cup grated carrot
Instructions
  1. Heat a medium sauce pan on medium heat
  2. Add olive oil, warm for 1 minute
  3. Add garlic and onions, sauté till garlic is fragrant
  4. Add the remaining ingredients, simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally
  5. Blend for 1 minute with an immersion blender or carefully transfer to a blender
  6. Add additional salt and pepper to taste
